Drill Baby, Drill!

Today was a day full of well-digging excitement for the kids. It was in the 60's this morning when the diggery commenced, so these 2 little sleepyheads bundled up and headed out. Even Mara was excited, and she's not the big equipment-type of gal.




Here they're getting things set up and ready to go. Isaac and Mara sat on the porch for the better part of an hour watching the crane arm raise up.

And now drill baby, drill!

They ended up hitting water 6 hours later, at nearly 150 feet down. Mr. Hamilton and his sons installed the well casing, along with a mesh debris screen, so that part of the fun is done. Tuesday, Mr. Blessing will be installing the pump, running the new pipes and finishing up the job. And thank God for that.
