Stinky, The Resident Skunk

We have a skunk who has taken up residence in the chicken's pen. If you recall the skunk debacle from earlier in the year, you'll know that we're no strangers to wildlife; but this is ridiculous. 3 times in the past week we've found Stinky munching feed off the ground, drinking out of the outdoor waterer, and even sleeping in an old bushel basket.

We're fairly sure this is the same skunk as he has such odd, friendly behaviour. He makes no attempt to run, hide or spray when he sees you approaching. He just sort of looks at you. "Hi. How are ya?" And as you can see in this rainy, nighttime picture...he had no interest in leaving his nice warm bed. He just shifted around and laid back down.

So far, he's not been a problem. He's a bit strange, but hasn't given us any reason to either call an animal warden or take care of bizness ourselves. Let's just hope it stays that way.
