Today, we were out shopping, picking up necessities and we come across the Easter Bunny, sitting on a bench, offering free picture-taking for children. Mara hesitatingly went up and had her picture taken; only because he showed her the bucket of candy that she was welcome to. When it was Isaac's turn, he just said no. Said he wasn't going to get his picture taken with "some guy in a costume." End of conversation. Once his mind was made up, that was it. And I really respect that quality in him. Admittedly, it makes me crazy from time to time, but how great will that be in a dozen years, when peer pressure really starts to kick in??? Once his mind is made up, no amount of begging, pleading or pressuring will change it. So, needless to say, no Easter picture for the scrapbook this year.
