We had such a fun weekend this weekend. First of all, it was a long weekend; teacher's conferences meant Isaac had a 3 day weekend and to top it off, it was the most beautiful 3 days ever. Sunny, warm, breezy. Perfect Ohio October weather.
After church today, we came home, threw on our Harley-Davidson clothes and our 'do rags' and went into town to watch the Toys For Tots ride sponsored by the local bike club. It was amazing! My mom and dad were involved and said there were nearly 1400 motorcycles in this year's parade and they expect to provide gifts to nearly 5000 kids! Can you imagine that?
We parked on Main St in a friend's parking lot where the kids could watch the motorcycles and they were absolutely enthralled. Santa rode in the back of a pace truck, complete with a police escort and waved to the kids as he rode by. But the best part: 1400 motorcyclists throwing candy to the kids on the sidewalks! There's nothing my kids enjoy more than a free candy opportunity!

Looks like the kids had a good time. Nice to put a face to your blog. :)
Hi Shelly!
Yeah, the kids had a blast! But I must admit, I enjoyed it too! It's not often you see traffic shut down in all directions and 1400 motorcycles covered in toys in one spot! And the candy was nice too :)
